I had this computer for almost a year and a half now, and have been using it as my primary computer. So far everything works very well. The only complaint I have is that some of the keys sticking out too far and leave marks on the screen, but I think I could have gotten that replaced if I was more on the ball. I could also recommend the Solid State Drive, because it is much quieter than a normal SATA drive that I have. Starts Office and even some prettygraphics-intensive games (like Unreal Tournament and Age of Mythology), fine. It is a bit jerky, watching streaming video on the times, particularly when in full-screen mode.

Overall I would definitely recommend this laptop / netbook.

The main difference between this item and Wi-Fi version, of course, with 3G SIM card. So before I talk about IPAD general, I would like to explain my take on 3G.

3G Performance:
Bottom Line: Works good if you are using the moving car. I ran an internet speed test on it in the metro area were 1.2Mbps down and 210kbps up, which is decent.
Details: If you do basic computations, you can be anywherein 3G services using the Internet. (If 3G service sucks in your area, do not buy a 3G IPAD) There is only one problem: when moving from tower to tower the signal can hang as data must be redirected to the new tower. Lets make this another way. If you are using IPAD Netflix streaming applications for "Kim Possible Season 3" videos on your IPAD while driving at 60 mph it will "hang" during the 22 minutes show. Summary: AT & T 3G works just like my 3G ExpressCard from Verizon.

2G Performance: Yes, you can use the IPAD to AT & T's 2G EDGE network as needed. Data are slow. You will not like it.

3G settings:
3G setup is simple:
– Press the Settings button, choose your mobile data, press the button to set up mobile services.
– Put your iTunes * * password. (AT & T is "invisible", except for the logo.)
– Put your credit card to IPAD
– Voila! Do you have service for 30 days

Avoiding 3G data charges: If you are a iPhone user and you have case that you can avoid paying for 2 data plans by swapping SIM cards. 7) Listening Pandora Internet radio anywhere in the house. (Okay, I can not listen to "Crystal Method blow thump boom boom music", but most other music that sounds good)
I used the Internet to teach my childrenthings when we are away from home (Dad, where the word "helicopter" come from?)
9) owned or leased to watch iTunes movies on my 42 "LCD TV (using an adapter sold separately).

The purpose of the above is that the IPAD gives me more freedom while on the computer, because of its small size and low weight.

What you can do in case of:
1) Multitask. You do not really need all those windows open, but we all used to it.
2) Press.
3) UseIPAD to connect to your TV and give a presentation. If you use an HDTV adapter, IPAD screen black out, so you can only use this for movies.
4) See the Macromedia Flash content online. (Many Web sites use, like Hulu)

Steve Jobs says that 1 and 2 are on the way, in reality, multitasking is a new iPhone4 so it will not last long.
# 4 will probably never come. If you need a Flash site, then stick with our laptop. End of story.

Oh, and battery ….The battery is consistently lasts all day, 12 hours without recharging. But it's important to remember that many USB ports does not charge IPAD. None of my will. Also, my cheap iPhone car charger does not charge my IPAD. There was discussion about this lately, apparently charger or USB port is actually providing the correct nominal output. Most do not provide sufficient power. But the battery lasts all day for me, so it's not negative.

If the above reasons does not helpyou make up your mind, consider Steve Wozniak's recent comments about the case of: "Everyone wants you to be simpler, and along comes this simple thing." No viruses. No compatibity problems. No wondering why your IPAD is so slow (Apple vets all the software to make sure it does not). No questionable upgrade. No cryptic error. All these things are things that they enjoy working on computers for many people.

IPAD is such a simple thing. And that is why the averageperson will like it and would rather use it instead of your computer.

I'll upgrade it to 5 stars, if / when:
1) Stronger IPAD apps out
2) Multitasking two things at once, it is possible (at least the web browser and text editor, or the Pandora internet radio app + app would be nice to others)
3) Some types of printing would be cool, though, I'm ok with paperless, really …

Installing Windows XP with a USB flash drive

Here's a tip explains how to create a bootable USB flash drive containing legal copies of Windows XP. This tip is very useful, especially for users of Netbook, but it is also useful for Desktops“>Computer users who do not have CD drives.

Requirements

To begin, you must be:

– Not less than 1 or 2GB USB stick.
– Legal copy of XP operating system.
– A Desktops“>Computer equipped with CD-ROM drive and USB ports.
– The Desktops“>Computer on which weWindows installation.
– WinSetupFromUSB Software (Look for "WinSetupFromUSB" on Google to download the Software).
– Your USB stick can start.
– Your machine supports booting via USB flash drive (Make sure the BIOS).
– USB flash drive should be fast enough to avoid the slow installation of XP.

Getting Started

1st Attach the first USB stick into the USB port.
2nd After downloading and installing WinSetupFromUSB, launch the Software today.
3rd Now insert the Windows XP CDinto the CD / DVD-ROM, click Browse.
4th Type the destination path on the Desktops“>Computer in this window.
5th Select your CD / DVD-ROM drive XP, click OK.
6th Click the Update button, then go to the small arrow to the left and select your USB flash drive disk, which will help you start Windows XP.
7th Select Fixed.

Perhaps the greatest benefit of Netbooks on the market for a mini Laptop, as it did in Solid State Drive (SSD) popular. Before that, the hard disk drive (HDD) lorded over a Desktops“>Computer storage. But what is a SSD Netbook?

The term "solid" is actually an electrical term that refers to the electronic circuitry that is built entirely of semiconductors. The term originally included electronics such as a transistor radio, using semiconductors instead of vacuum tubes. Whentalking on SSD, it only means that the storage medium is based solely on semiconductors rather than magnetic media such as hard disk.

Flask Versus SSD drives

Flash drive, which can be plugged into the USB port on your Desktops“>Computer, similar to SSD in how to use non-volatile memory chips, which enable them to retain stored information even when they have no power. Differ in form and storage capacity. Flash drive is designed for external devices, which should be plugged into the USBport. The Netbooks are sold on the market use hard disks because they use less energy. Netbooks and have longer battery life. Netbooks that use flash drives also tend to beshock-proof.
