Windows 7 Driver Compatibility?
I just got an ASUS G71GX RX05, It came with a free upgrade to Windows 7 and I was just wondering if the drivers for say my “Direct Console” or others, would they work with Windows 7?
I hear since the ASUS drivers are newer they will work with Windows 7. I plan on getting a new hard drive and purchasing Windows 7. But I do not want to spend the time and money to find out my drivers are not compatible.

Proof i do not hack, it just so happens that a cheap lil hacker was in the game at the same time haha. anyway, weapons used G36c/ M417 Combat. during the publishing of this video, the audio got messed up and is advanced in the video, so please don’t mind it.

Street Fighter 4 Benchmark
G71GX-RX05 Downloaded the Street Fighter 4 Benchmark from: www.nzone.com this time i just decided i take snap shots during the benchmark, that way you guys can see the actual frame rates going on during the benchmark. I didn’t feel like recording gb’s of video just for a 2 minute video for youtube lol. anyway, the FPS is shown on the pictures by the benchmark counter, and I also had FRAPS running which shows in yellow FPS, so you can also see the difference between the benchmark counter to fraps counter. anyway, hope you all enjoy this still image presentation, and i hope they don’t take out the song.

Need For Speed: Undercover Chase
I am really sorry if there is lag. I’m running a P8700 + Fraps + a game that is absolutely terribly optimized. Note on bad quality, I run fraps at half size. this messes with quality, and it decreases size. A LOT. Even so, the resulting raw clip was over 6 GB. NO, MY DRIVING SKILLS ARE NOT THE BEST! I’m using ARROW KEYS, gimme a break. Comments/Questions welcome, just be civil. Sorry about the ending, youtube cut it off, and I had just finished all the annotations and stuff. Right after it ended, NFS glitched up and said I evaded. I will redo everything soon, and make sure the ending gets there. My Specs: Asus G71GX-RX05 Dual 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 Oc’ed by 15% 500GB Hard drive with 2nd drive bay. 6GB RAM OC’ed 1GB NVIDIA geforce GTX 260M Edited minimally with Windows Live Movie Maker. Thanks for looking. ========================== Follow me on Twitter! twitter.com

Set to the BIOS? (Laptop ASUS)?
Well, I’ve been planning on getting a laptop computer to run my games on because my desktop sucks.
I decided I was going to go with the ASUS G71GX-RX05 . But after reading some reviews, I learned that something was wrong with the BIOS and it caused the games to decrease to 1-2 fps.
I learned that ASUS fixed the problem by updating the BIOS. My question is, if I buy one, will the laptop have the correct, updated version of the BIOS, or will I have to download it myself?

Crysis SP Demo
ASUS G71GX-RX05 I just did the recent bios 1501 update: fixed the indicator light that shows if wireless switch is on or off, went by with out a fluke, of course with info from live tech support with asus, i always have a great day with updates. system specs again: 6gb ram Nvidia geforce GTX260M (1gb dedicated/ found out it shares 2gb ram, so up to a total of 3gb ram how ever that works) P8700 duo core 2.53Ghz/ with asus turbo gear overclocking option up to 15%… and i do see a bit performance gain from it. 450gb HDD vista home premium 64bit/ trying to get my windows 7 free since i bought this computer within the time frame. Crysis SP demo: 1440X900 native res. no antialiasing All settings set to high recorded with fraps: solid 17fps (which you see in video, no lag, but still low/playable just a lil bit) without fraps recording w/ high settings i get a constant 27fps, then goes down to 20fps in intense fights from the demo, and up to 35 at parts. when all settings to Very High i get a constant 15fps, set to medium i get a good 28-37fps, and i now play with a mix of med-high settings to get a constant 30fps, and again goes up and down depending on the action going on in the game. all in all, I am impressed with its performance, this being my first gaming notebook. anything about 30fps is awesome in my book. lol
