I had this computer for almost a year and a half now, and have been using it as my primary computer. So far everything works very well. The only complaint I have is that some of the keys sticking out too far and leave marks on the screen, but I think I could have gotten that replaced if I was more on the ball. I could also recommend the Solid State Drive, because it is much quieter than a normal SATA drive that I have. Starts Office and even some prettygraphics-intensive games (like Unreal Tournament and Age of Mythology), fine. It is a bit jerky, watching streaming video on the times, particularly when in full-screen mode.

Overall I would definitely recommend this laptop / netbook.

Netbook users, What is Solid State Drive?

Perhaps the greatest benefit of Netbooks on the market for a mini Laptop, as it did in Solid State Drive (SSD) popular. Before that, the hard disk drive (HDD) lorded over a Desktops“>Computer storage. But what is a SSD Netbook?

The term "solid" is actually an electrical term that refers to the electronic circuitry that is built entirely of semiconductors. The term originally included electronics such as a transistor radio, using semiconductors instead of vacuum tubes. Whentalking on SSD, it only means that the storage medium is based solely on semiconductors rather than magnetic media such as hard disk.

Flask Versus SSD drives

Flash drive, which can be plugged into the USB port on your Desktops“>Computer, similar to SSD in how to use non-volatile memory chips, which enable them to retain stored information even when they have no power. Differ in form and storage capacity. Flash drive is designed for external devices, which should be plugged into the USBport. On the other hand, SSD resides inside the Desktops“>Computer chassis instead of a traditional hard disk drive or HDD.

On the surface, looks like any other SSD than the traditional hard disk because it is produced in various standard sizes (1.8 ", 2.5" or 3.5 ") and uses either an ATA or SATA interface, so you can use the computer.

Why to use SSD?

SSD certainly has several advantages over traditional hard disk drive, and it has a lot to do with the fact that the SSD hasmoving parts. While the HDD should drive spinning magnetic platters and the drive heads, storage is managed by SSD flash memory chips. Because of this, solid state drives use less power, may provide data more quickly (20%) and are generally more reliable than traditional hard drives.

The Netbooks are sold on the market use hard disks because they use less energy. Netbooks and have longer battery life. Netbooks that use flash drives also tend to beshock-proof. Hard Drive bowls are very fragile and sensitive that even small movements of the jarring impact can cause the disc to be completely unreadable. Since solid state drive stores all data in memory chips, is less moving parts have been damaged in any collision.

Disadvantages SSD

Perhaps the only disadvantage of netbooks, which use SSDs is that they have low capacity. While hard disks can store up to 200 GB of data, most SSD netbooks only holdup to 64 GB of data.

In addition to low storage capacity, the SSD-driven netbooks are also more expensive than netbooks that use the hard drive. But all are expected to change as the number of companies producing the disks and the capacity to produce flash memory chips is growing. Solid state disks cost less than half in 2007 than in 2006.

Some manufacturers such as MSI netbooks are trying to get the best of both SSD and HDD production of mini notebooks, which are so-calledhybrid storage capacity.
